Welcome

I would like to welcome you to our school website. St Pius X Catholic School is in the Hexham and Newcastle Diocese and became part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust on 1st November 2022.

We are very proud of our school and recognise the uniqueness of all of our pupils. Our caring and committed staff encourage pupils to behave outstandingly well and provide excellent spiritual, moral, social and cultural guidance for all pupils, through our strong catholic ethos and clear mission statement. Pupils make good progress, throughout their time with us, and their gifts and achievements are celebrated.

Our Values

Here at St Pius Xth Catholic Primary School, staff and governors are committed to providing an inclusive, nurturing environment, in which all members of our St Pius family have the opportunity to reach their full potential. We recognise that every child is unique and has special skills, talents and interests. It is our mission to ensure that this is recognised and pupils learn their own self-worth and that of others.

Our aim is for each child, your child, to be cared for, to feel valued and their potential to be realised.

Letters

We send out letters and newsletters on a regular basis to keep parents up to date with school decisions and progress.

At St Pius Xth Catholic Primary School, we keep our parents, carers and families informed about upcoming events and celebrations of our children's successes. We regularly publish a newsletter, which is sent out electronically to all of our parents and is made available on this page. We also use Social media to share the very latest events, learning and religious celebrations that take place within our school.
