Spanish Day in Class 2

A post in our latest news section.

Class 2 have been celebrating Spanish Day by researching the Spanish speaking country, Mexico. They have learned lots of interesting facts about Mexico and and Mexican culture.

Pupils have found out about the life of the famous Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. They have looked at lots of her most famous paintings and they have completed their own self-portraits. Next, pupils took to the dance floor to learn the Mexican Hat Dance. They really enjoyed themselves. Everyone picked up the moves very quickly!

We were also very lucky to have Mr Devanney’s daughter, Daisy, visit us to teach pupils some Spanish. They loved singing Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in Spanish!
